Player of the Week: Adam Burish

I love Adam Burish and will continue to love him in Dallas. He didn't get to play a lot this past season in Chicago because he was recovering from surgery, but he is seeing a lot more minutes in Dallas - and has already notched his first goal as a Star. But its not just his playing that makes him a super star, its his personality and crazy antics that have become popular through Blackhawks TV, especially his pranks with roomie (at the time) Patrick Sharp

He had a pretty good way to end off a season plagued by injuries - a Stanley Cup.

(PS - his friend that gave him the medal is Cabbie!!)

He made the news quite a bit after the Cup win, not just because of the win, but moreso because of his comments about Flyers' defenseman Chris Pronger:

It's actually related to this which is why he is the player of the week - he was doing an interview and someone asked him about the incident and was talking about when they meet again when the Stars play the Flyers. Instead of still carrying on about Chris Pronger, Burish was surprising - he apologized! Maybe its too little too late, but good for him for admitting he was an idiot and apologizing. And he probably made a good point when he said "I don't think a guy like Chris Pronger, a Hall of Fame defenseman, is really too worried about what a guy like me has to say at the end of the day." That's almost definitely for sure, but I'm sure he still appreciates the apology
